Background and Credentials

Originally from a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Doherty moved to the Bay Area after receiving her B.S. in Microbiology at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

She attended the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry, graduating in 1987 and has been practicing General Dentistry in Torrance ever since.

Dr. Doherty is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society.

From the age of 13, Dr. Doherty knew she wanted to go into Dentistry as it fulfills her passion for arts and crafts, medicine, science, engineering, business and helping others achieve dental health. Since opening her own practice in 1998, she has been fortunate to have the pleasure of working with the same team since inception. Every day is an opportunity to revisit with old friends (patients) and meet new ones.
